Please read this section very carefully. Any runner not adhering to any of the following rules is subject to disqualification or penalty.


Several sections of the race course pass through national parks with designated sensitive wildlife areas inhabited by extinct animals and plants. We require everyone (runners) to be fully aware and follow these rules:

  1. Sleeping along the course is prohibited as it will have a large impact on the environment and may also mistakenly lead others to think that you require emergency medical assistance. Please manage your physical condition carefully and rest/sleep at the aid stations.
  2. You must stay on the trail at all times. There will be sections where racers will not be able to pass each other in order to protect the environment safety matters.
  3. Picking up or damaging plants, animals, fungi and rocks found along the race course as well as within the overall race area are prohibited.
  4. Short cutting is strictly prohibited due to potential damage to vegetation along the course.Please run along the designated course.
  5. Absolutely no littering along the course.


  1. If during the race, you encounter another runner or staff member who is injured or sick and unable to move on their own, please give priority to assisting that person by telling race staff for assistance.
  2. The race is located on national park and other public/private property places. Please be mindful and share the trail with others at all times. There will be "no passing sections" signs along the race course where you will be prohibited from passing other runners and hikers.
  3. Do not damage any property located along the race course.


  1. Food and drinks will be provided as well Aid Stations as well Aid Stations (Start/ Finish, W2, W3, W4, W6). Only water will be provided at the Water Stations (W1)
  2. Outside support by family and friends is not allowed.
  3. The food and drinks at the aid stations are only for the racers.
  4. Non-registered racers may not run alongside racers. (No pacers allowed).


  1. In order to ensure race safety, race organizer will prepare and arrange for rescue and medical assistance during the race. However, each participant must recognize and understand that there are risks that may result in injuries and/or accidents associated with trail running. You are responsible for yourself and will be participating in this race at your own risk.
  2. Emergency and first aid tents staffed by a doctor and/or nurse will be located at pointed aid stations. All aid stations will have radio communication to race headquarters.
  3. Emergency rescues/procedures will be available to racers as well all those involved in the race (e.g. staff, supporters).
    • Please note that, depending on the area, it may take a long period of time for help to reach you.
    • If you receive emergency medical assistance from a rescue crew and/or doctor, please make sure that you get examined by a medical expert at a hospital after the race. Please contact the race organizer centre to let them know of your condition after the medical examination.
  4. Doctors and rescue staff have the authority to stop a racer from continuing the race. This will be done by taking off the racer's number card and IC chips.
  5. If you drop out of the race, you can continuing walk by take a shorter path to the pick up point that will take you back to the finish line.
  6. Depending on your condition, an emergency evacuation may be required. This evacuation will be at the expense of the person being rescued. For all racers must be obtain adequate travel insurance coverage for the duration of your stay in Lombok - Indonesia.
  7. In the case of an emergency, if you are unable to reach the nearest Medic aid station, pick up point or finish line, the committee will give assistance.


  1. The race course will be marked using marking tapes and signs. Race staff will also be positioned along the course. Dangerous areas up in the mountains will be marked by ropes and patrolled by staff in order to reduce risk.
    (Note: Permission has been obtained from the appropriate land owners and property managers to put up temporary signs and marking tapes).
  2. There will be a "no-passing" section as well as other sections with specific rules/conditions. Please abide by these rules.
  3. Racers will be stopped at road intersections. Please follow the directions given by the race staff at these intersections.
  4. The above signs and markers will be set up just before the race and will be immediately removed after the race.


If you decide to drop out of the race, you must notify race staff. Please remove your race card/bib and and report to a race staff member so that race Organizer Center can be notified. Once you've dropped out of the race, you will not be able to re-start.
Remember to keep your race card with you as you will need it to retrieve your bags from the bag storage area.

  1. Tell an aid station staff that you've decided to drop out of the race.
  2. You will be able to return to the finish line area by a race shuttle that will stop by the aid stations. This race shuttle will not be available late at night/early morning however, you will be able to rest/sleep in a waiting area provided at the aid stations.
  1. If you are able to move on your own, please make your way to the closest aid station (either return to the aid station you just left or go the next aid station). If you are unable to move without assistance, please tell staff and follow their instructions. It will take time to get help out to you if you are out on the race course. If you are not feeling well, it would be best to make your decision to drop out at an aid station.


  1. Course map (please download and printout the "Overall Course Map" and "Detailed Course Map" from the official website).
  2. Personal cup for hot/cold drinks at aid stations (minimum 150cc size). Paper cups will not be provided at the aid stations.
  3. Water (you must carry a maximum of 1,5L of water at the start line and for MRU refill in indicate aid station).
  4. Food.
  5. 2 lights with replacement batteries for both lights. Battery life will decline in cold temperatures.
  6. Survival blanket (minimum size of 130cm x 200cm).
  7. Whistle.
  8. Adhesive elastic tape/band (minimum length of 80cm x 3cm).
  9. Warm fleece or warm long sleeve shirt. Cotton shirts are not allowed.
  10. Warm running pants or leggings or a combination of tights/leggings and long socks which cover the legs completely. Cotton pants/leggings are not allowed.
  11. Warm gloves/mittens and hat that covers your ears.
  12. Waterproof rain jacket with hood & rain pants (both made of waterproof and breathable membrane such as Gore-Tex or something similar; seams must be seam-sealed).
  13. Gaiters to prevent from sand and gravel insert to your shoes during the summit attack.(*for MRU after summit attack)
  14. First aid kit (such as band aids, disinfectant, etc).
  15. Travel/accident insurance policy.



  1. There are no drop bags for the MRU and RAR



    A racer may be disqualified or penalized at any time during the race for the following reasons:

    1. Taking shortcuts and/or running off the trails.
    2. Not carrying the mandatory equipment.
    3. Throwing garbage onto the course (this applies to both the race and his/her supporters).
    4. Receiving outside support at other than the stipulated aid stations.
    5. Running with people who are not officially registered in the race as racers.
    6. Cheating (e.g. using other means of transportation, using substitute runners, and other unlawful actions).
    7. Not abiding by the instructions given by official race staff including doctors, nurses, and emergency staff.
    8. Continuing to run after the cut off times.
    9. Doping and the use of prohibited drugs.


    1. You understand the unique nature and requirements of competing in an ultra-long distance trail running race. You will be running all day and night through mountainous terrain and have undertaken the necessary training to compete in such a race.
    2. You will be responsible for yourself and have the ability to deal with any problems that may be encountered during the race.
    3. You are able to deal with, on your own without assistance, deteriorating weather conditions (low temperatures, strong winds and rain ) and other troubles expected when traveling across mountainous terrain.
    4. You are able to deal with extreme fatigue, internal organ and digestive problems, muscle pain, mild physical injuries and psychological problems on your own.
    5. You are fully aware that when participating in an outdoor activity such as this race, your safety depends on your own skills and abilities.

    The race organization will be responsible for the following:

    1. Tell an aid station staff that you've decided to drop out of the race.
    2. Non-deliberate damage to property by race participants (e.g. plants and animals, objects, trails, etc.)
    3. Marking and location of signs identifying the race course.
    4. Race safety management.


    The race organization reserves the right to cancel or cut-short the race for the following reasons:

    1. Weather warnings sent by the meteorological agency
    2. The inability to ensure runner safety due to risks such as landslides and rockfalls along the course.
    3. Natural disasters (or declared warnings issued by the "BMKG-Badan Meteorologi dan Klimatologi dan Gempa and TNGR-Tanam Nasional Gunung Rinjani) In such a case, the race course cannot be changed to continue the race, nor will the race be postponed to a later date.
    4. The decision as to whether or not the race will be cancelled will be made on the day before the race or on the day of the race. This will be communicated via the official race website.
    5. In the event of an earthquake, hurricane/typhoon, flood, incidents, accidents and/or epidemics, the race organization reserves the right to make judgments and decisions regarding the shortening/cancelling of the race, whether or not there will be refunds, the amount, and the method of communication.


    NORTH LOMBOK, WEST NUSA TENGGARA - INDONESIA – This race starts from Senaru (600 masl) through dense forest vegetation with ground track along the 8.5 km and next 2 km will cross rocky hill with views of the savanna in along the way to Plawangan Senaru.

    At sunrise, when you reaching Plawangan Senaru (2600 masl) you will enjoy the stunning panorama of Lake segara anak and Summit of Rinjani in the distance.

    The following route is down the hills into steeply rock boulders whit ground track ground interspersed pine vegetation along the 3 km to Lake Segara Anak.

    From Lake Segara Anak (2000 masl) towards Plawangan Sembalun (2600 masl) you will enjoy running at the edge of the Lake with a track stones and you will be presented with a beautiful view of the light reflection along the 3 km hills while crossing the weed and grass with a land track. Boulder rock and incline steep is along the way 1 km ahead of Plawangan Sembalun.

    Reaching Plawangan Sembalun, you will see a wonderful landscapes facing lakes, Mount Rinjani peak and Sembalun village’s surrounded hills.

    The real challenge and the heaviest part of this race are 5 km away to the top of Rinjani (3726 masl), starting with solid sand track with the tilt angle of gentle incline ramps, then passes through a thick and depth smooth sand track, changed to solid sand track and gravel. The last 2 km towards the Summit, around above elevation 3400masl you will be challenged to climb the Summit of Rinjani with mixed between sand and gravel track that is quite deep to submerge your step (approx. 15 cm). This part of the racetrack will be tougher especially if the wind was blustery and foggy.

    At the nice and clear weather when reaching and standing at the dense sandy rock plate about 4 x 12 square meters at the top of Rinjani you can see magnificent and beautiful panorama of Rinjani region, you will be able to see clearly the views of Lake Segara Anak and the incline black yellow and red path you are recently going through. And you will be able to see Bali's highest mountain Gunung Agung (3142 masl).

    The route will bring you down from the Summit back to Plawangan Sembalun regions, and you will be faced with a challenge as well as the sensation of running on the decline sand in steep slope and the other side you will enjoy sliding like sledding above the snow but on the other hand it is endanger ourselves. Dangerous because the tracks that you are going through very narrow between 1.5 m to 4 m and on the left and right side is deep ravine.

    Upon Plawangan Sembalun regions you heading to Pos 2 (1500 masl) you down the hill with moderate dense of pine vegetation and you will be treated to panoramic views of the hills of the beautiful savannas colored golden yellowish.

    From The Pos2 then you have to go back to the previous route to return to Senaru.
